byproduct coke   contact us

Consisting principally of carbon, our final resultant coke goes through several testing procedures at our own R & D Wing and quality control divisions, as per Indian Standards for ensuring proper quality of coke for use in steel and other industries. These tests include ash percentage tests, volatile matter checks and hardness tests.

Traditionally chemical properties, size, and strength have been considered the most important properties for use in the blast furnace. The quality of the constituent coals determines the characteristics of the resultant coke. Currently Carbon Edge has the capacity to segregate Coal Tar from the process.

Other byproducts can be generated as future expansion plan.
  • Coal Tar – Coal tar is produced as one of the byproducts and sold to the local consumers in tankers.

Approximately 2% of coal consumed is produced as tar.

We can cater to any size requirement of consumers depending upon order quantity and availability of material at our plant.
